Edmundo Ortiz

Analyst, Boston

Mundo joined BCE as an analyst in the Boston office in 2024.

Prior to BCE, Mundo worked as a teaching assistant for Eastbourne College’s English Department during the 2019-2020 academic year. At Eastbourne College, he taught English literature and provided support amid the challenges brought about by the pandemic. Mundo had the privilege of working closely with the Department’s Head and Second in Command, from whom he learned many lessons in leadership. Today, hanging in his home is a painting of the phrase “Of Course”—a gift from the Head of the English Department honoring Mundo’s only response when asked for help.

Mundo graduated from Bowdoin College in May 2024 with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in English. At Bowdoin, he was heavily involved with the Philosophy Department, where he was also fortunate to have found great mentors; he was a Philosophy student representative and a teaching assistant for the department. He was also a trip leader for the Outing Club and a member of the Bowdoin Student Government.
