Retired USAF Colonel Mark E. Kipphut, is a Senior Advisor in BCE Consulting’s Technology & Industrials division. As a Principal, he used to lead BCE’s relationship with an American multinational Aerospace and Defense technology company, which is one of the firm’s three largest clients. His work has focused on enterprise strategy development, future state market analysis across mission areas, platforms, domains, customers, and geographies, and Defense industry competitive assessments. He has led BCE’s thought leadership around the emerging C5ISRT mission area, dynamic kill webs, and unmanned systems. Much of his focus has been on the US national security response to peer threats from China and Russia, and how US industry can best support joint, Allied, and coalition force projection in EUCOM and INDOPACOM.
Before becoming a principal at BCE, Mark worked as a senior advisor to BCE’s aerospace and defense clients. In this role, he led projects for Fortune 200, middle market, and lower-middle market defense firms.
Prior to joining BCE, Mark worked for Raytheon, first serving as the Director of Strategy for Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, Arizona, managing overall domestic and international growth strategies and product portfolios, including overseeing new business investment accounts and projects. In 2010, Mark relocated to Texas to become the Program Director, Tactical Intelligence Systems, responsible for leading a $300 million-dollar annual sales business for Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services, Garland, Texas. His primary contracts were with the United States government including, the Director of National Intelligence, United States Air Force, and United States Army.
Before his time at Raytheon, Col Kipphut served globally for almost 30 years in the United States Air Force as a command intelligence officer at all levels of operations, from tactical to strategic. He directly participated in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Southern Watch, Joint Forge, Allied Force, Operating Enduring Freedom and Operation United Assistance. In his last assignment, he served as the Director of Intelligence, Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Hickam AFB, Hawaii. Prior to that, he served in several O-6 command and staff positions in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
He earned a BA in Political Science from The Citadel, in May 1979 prior to bring commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Later, he earned an MA in Management from Embry-Riddle University. Col Kipphut is a graduate of the Air Force Squadron Officers School, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Armed Forces Staff College, and Air War College. He attended the National Security Leadership Studies, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and received a Program Management Certification, Babson College.
Mark is the Commander of the Rockwall Terry Fisher American Legion Post, Senior Vice Commander of the Dallas Chapter, Military Order of the World Wars, a member of the Rockwall Rotary Club, and very active in several North Texas not-for-profit organizations serving veterans and the community. He serves on the City of McLendon-Chisholm Economic Development Committee, as well.
