What is a BCE manager’s career path?

What are the manager job requirements?

As a BCE manager, you will be asked to act as project manager on engagement teams, which will require you to manage people and process.  Your teams will be asked to solve challenging client problems, for which your MBA or other graduate program will have prepared you well.  This role will test your problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.  Below are qualifications required for the BCE manager position:

  • Graduate degree from a top business school, or with industry experience a PhD or terminal master’s program, law, or medical school degree
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Management consulting
    • Strategy or operations functions
    • Industry, specifically, consumer, health & life sciences, technology, private equity, or industrial verticals
  • Ability to work well with a team, think independently, analyze data sets, organize and prioritize tasks, and meet and manage deadlines
  • Proven presentation, communication, and writing skills
