Retired U.S. Navy Captain Jeffrey N. Zerbe is an experienced Aerospace and Defense professional with over 45 years leading and mentoring high performing teams, and extensive technical leadership, capture and strategy experience across a broad defense portfolio. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor to BCE Consulting. He recently retired from Northrop Grumman after 13 years where he held several key leadership roles including Capture Lead OHIO Replacement, Capture Lead SSN(X), Senior Director Strategy and Business Development Mission Systems, Senior Director International Strategy Mission Systems and Senior Director Dragon Works TM. Awarded Northrop Grumman’s Award for Excellence for his leadership on the OHIO Replacement Capture and Mission System’s President’s Award for Excellence for his leadership of a classified naval program he worked jointly with Raytheon. 

Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, he served as Director Naval Systems Advanced Missiles and Unmanned Systems at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona where he was responsible for developing innovative naval warfighting capabilities and capturing advanced development contracts. Awarded the Raytheon Company Excellence in Engineering and Technology award for his pioneering work on submarine Unmanned Aircraft Systems and two utility patents for Methods and Apparatus for Marine Deployment. 

During his 24-year naval career, he commanded USS CHEYENNE (SSN 773) and served in several senior roles including Senior Member Nuclear Propulsion Examining Board U.S. Atlantic and Pacific Fleet, Director, C4I Commander Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Sea Trial Operational Experimentation Lead for Silent Hammer and screened for Major Command. He graduated in 1980 from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, holds a Master of Science degree in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School where he graduated with distinction as a Conrad Scholar and a Certificate in Leadership, University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
