Bibatshu graduated from Colby College in 2025 with a dual focus in Computer Science and Science, Technology, and Society. During college, his CS research was extensively focused on building AI models, specializing in tools and methods for model interpretability and transparency. His technical skills were supplemented by his STS training to interrogate how data, design choices, and governance around technology shape real-world outcomes. With his background, he brings both rigorous engineering knowledge as well as qualitative research sensibilities, and uses them to solve complex problems that often demand both types of nuance.

In 2024, Bibatshu also led community-facing work grounded in field experience. He was awarded a $10,000 grant by the Davis Projects for Peace grant to design and run a project in Nepal that advanced food-sovereignty efforts: the project included grassroots organizing, fundraising, and the production of a documentary to amplify community voices. While he was at Colby, he also served as student body president and was deeply involved in building inclusive campus communities — a passion that continues to inform his collaborative approach to research and consulting.

Bibatshu enjoys connecting with people across disciplines to translate research into actionable policy and product decisions. His core expertise includes applied machine learning, AI interpretability and transparency, data ethics and governance, technology policy analysis, and mixed-methods research.

In his free time, Bibatshu loves rock climbing, biking, playing spikeball, and catching up with close friends and families.
