Colonel Mark E. Kipphut, USAF (ret.) joined BCE as a Technology & Industrials division principal. Prior to joining BCE, Mark worked for Raytheon and the United States Air Force.
Mark served as the strategy director for Raytheon Missile Systems managing overall domestic and international growth strategies and product portfolios. This included overseeing new business investment accounts and projects. In 2010, Mark relocated to Texas as the program director, Tactical Intelligence Systems, responsible for leading a $300 million-dollar business for Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services. His primary contracts were with the United States government including the Director of National Intelligence, USAF, and U.S. Army.
Before his time at Raytheon, Col Kipphut served globally for almost 30 years in the USAF as a command intelligence officer in tactical and strategic operations. He served in several O-6 command and staff positions in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. He directly participated in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Southern Watch, Joint Forge, Allied Force, Operating Enduring Freedom, and Operation United Assistance. In his last assignment, he served as the Director of Intelligence, Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Hickam AFB, Hawaii.
He earned a BA in Political Science from The Citadel, an MA in Management from Embry-Riddle University, and is a graduate of the Air Force Squadron Officers School, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Armed Forces Staff College and Air War College. Additionally, Mark attended the National Security Leadership Studies, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and received a Program Management Certification from Babson College.
Mark is the Commander of the Rockwall Terry Fisher American Legion Post; Senior Vice Commander of the Dallas Chapter, Military Order of the World Wars; a member of the Rockwall Rotary Club; is active in several North Texas non-profit organizations serving veterans and the community; and serves on the City of McLendon-Chisholm Economic Development Committee.
