Arun Bhatia joined BCE as a Healthcare & Consumer division principal. Arun has driven healthcare innovation and growth strategies across a variety of roles at Roche, MATTER, and Baxter Healthcare.
While at Roche, Arun developed and executed the Diabetes Care’s startup engagement process that led to the structured piloting of several key target opportunities. At MATTER, a healthcare and life science and technology incubator, he served as the senior director of partner engagement. In this role, Arun led strategic program design and consulting innovation engagements for pharma, med-tech, payer, and health system partners.
In his six years at Baxter Healthcare, Arun was responsible for early-stage venture development initiatives. He led the intrapreneurship program, innovation strategy design, and Baxter Ventures’ corporate evaluation and investments. Additionally, Arun supported university-stage startup development and investment for the University of Illinois’ venture arm.
Arun earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Strategy from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MS in Biotechnology from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester, NY.
